Barrett is an accomplished leader of early stage businesses and nonprofits having lead the successful organization, capitalization, and growth of a number of operating enterprises including Surus, InStadium, The D3 Group, and Bernie’s Book Bank. He has served as a board member or advisor to companies such as Upgraded, Inc., in/Pact, Winestyr.com, and has served as a Venture Advisor to Progress Ventures. Barrett is a former practicing attorney with RKMC. Barrett brings dynamic and inspiring leadership to all of his engagements. Barrett graduated from Tulane University with a BA in History and holds a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Barrett lives in Lake Forest, Illinois with his wife Sam and their three children. Barrett’s inspired by the power that comes from aligning faith, family and community, is active in a number of non-profits, church group, and a men’s book club, and spends time with his family skiing, hiking, sailing and otherwise adventuring all over the map.
